It's all about Success Joel today; a sixteen year old student of Gbaraun Grammar School Oporoza, who emerged winner of the Chief Sheriff Mulade Essay Competition for Senior Secondary Schools in the rural/riverine communities of Delta State.
It is pertinent to note that, most of the prominent personalities who are making waves in Gbaramatu Kingdom in different capacities are all products of Gbaraun Grammar School Oporoza.
Today Success Joel has brought prestige not only to Gbaraun Grammar School Oporoza or Gbaramatu Kingdom, but to Warri South West, Delta State and all rural schools in Niger Delta.
This is a call for reorientation for most of our parents who have buried the destinies of most Okonjo-Iwealas that are supposed to represent Gbaramatu Kingdom globally with the excuse of 'Educating girl child is a waste of resources'.
We must learn to give pen to the girl child instead of penis, check their books instead of boobs, pay their school fees instead of bride price, give them education and not ejaculation.
Today, we celebrate:
The beauty of grassroot education,
The future of girl child education and
The hope of a greater Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State and Niger Delta at large.
