NAGS Executives Pay Familiarization Visit to Pere of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom

The newly sworn-in Executive Council of the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS) Worldwide, led by its National President, Comr. Apiti O. Phanuel, has paid a familiarization visit to the Palace of the Pere of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom.

 

The visit, which took place on Monday, September 15, 2026, was aimed at formally presenting the new NAGS leadership to His Royal Majesty and seeking his royal blessings, guidance, wisdom and support as the administration begins its tenure.

 

The delegation was led by Comr. Kpadowei Kelvin Doubra, who served as Provost under the immediate past Comr. Douye Simon-led Executive Council and currently serves as Chief Organizer of the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC).

 

Speaking during the visit, Comr. Doubra emphasized the importance of continuity, unity and collaboration among the student body, the traditional institution and other leadership structures within Gbaramatu Kingdom.

 

He noted that sustained cooperation among stakeholders would remain important in advancing the interests of Gbaramatu students and contributing to the broader development of the Kingdom.

 

The delegation also included several leaders and stakeholders, among them Comr. Mrs. Gloria Ebi Otutufegha, President of the Female Graduates of Gbaramatu; Comr. Prosper Eguare, Vice Chairman of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Gbaramatu Clan; Comr. Dise Afiyagba, Woman Leader of IYC Gbaramatu Clan; as well as members of the NAGS Parliament and other stakeholders.

 

During the visit, the newly inaugurated NAGS Executive Council reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the welfare, unity, academic advancement and leadership development of Gbaramatu students.

 

The administration also expressed its readiness to work closely with the traditional institution, youth leadership and other relevant stakeholders in advancing initiatives that would positively impact students and contribute to the development of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

 

The visit provided the new NAGS leadership with an opportunity to receive royal blessings and words of wisdom as it formally commenced its tenure.

 

It also reinforced the longstanding relationship between the student body and the traditional institution, with emphasis placed on respect, continuity, cooperation and collective responsibility.

 

The NAGS Executive Council expressed profound appreciation to His Royal Majesty for receiving the delegation and for the warm reception accorded to the leadership of the association.

 

The new administration pledged to uphold the values of service, accountability and unity while working to protect and advance the interests of Gbaramatu students worldwide.
