NAGS ELECTION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Introduction
On the series we will be bringing to the general public the necessary awareness and education that is needed to make the 2023 election worthwhile.
In order for an election to be successful and democratic, voters must understand their rights and responsibilities, and must be sufficiently knowledgeable and well informed to cast ballots that are legally valid and to participate meaningfully in the voting process.
The upcoming Nigeria's election is one of the most important events in the country's history. It is an opportunity for citizens to make their voices heard.
This is where the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS) can be of great help.
NAGS is an organization dedicated to empowering Gbaramatu Students and promoting their active participation in the political process.
In the course of this awareness campaign, we aim to:
👍Enhance voters’ awareness about the electoral process,
👍 helps voters make informed choices and lays the foundation for increased citizen participation in governance over the long-term.
👍Massively increase voter turn-out (especially among women and other politically marginalized groups).
👍Empower marginalized and disenfranchised population groups.
👍Contributes to enhanced political transparency, accountability, credibility and
👍public trust in governance.
👍Reduce the scope for unfair or corrupt electoral practices.
